Another Op’nin, Another Show (OPENINGS)
- The Shakespeare in the Park staging of Cymbeline, starring Patrick Page, Hamish Linklater, Lily Rabe and multi-Tony nominee Raúl Esparza, officially opens Aug. 10 following previews that began July 23 on Central Park's Delacorte stage. The show is set to play through Aug. 23.
- The world premiere of Annie Baker's John officially opens Off-Broadway Aug. 11.

- Single tickets are on sale Aug. 10 for the Brooklyn Academy of Music's 2015 Next Wave Festival, which kicks off in September.
- Tickets go on sale today to see Marlo Thomas in Joe DiPietro's Clever Little Lies Off-Broadway this fall.
I Wanna Be A Producer (IN DEVELOPMENT)
- You're Standing in My Way: A New Song Cycle, the latest complete set of lyrics from William Finn, the composer of Falsettos, A New Brain and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, will have its world premiere Aug. 14 at the Barrington Stage Company (BSC) in Pittsfield, MA.

I Hope I Get It (CASTING)
- Camryn Manheim, Patrick Page, and Russell Harvard have completed the cast for Deaf West's production of Spring Awakening, which will begin Broadway performances Sept. 8.
- Montego Glover will assume the role of Fantine in Broadway's Les Misérables beginning Sept. 1, the same date the previously announced singer-actor Alfie Boe is scheduled to succeed Ramin Karimloo as Jean Valjean. Also on September 1, Alex Finke makes her Broadway debut in the role of Cosette, succeeding Samantha Hill.
- Laura Osnes, Corey Cott, and Beth Leavel will star in Bandstand, a new musical directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, according to a report in Variety.
- Duke Lafoon will play the role of George Bailey in A Wonderful Life, a stage musical adaptation of the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life," being presented this fall at Goodspeed Opera House.
- Lauren Marcus will replace Anneliese van der Pol as Audrey in the Sharon Playhouse production of Little Shop of Horrors.
- New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin steps into the role of Ivy Smith Aug. 11-23 in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of On the Town, which plays the Lyric Theatre.

- Ciara Renée will perform a farewell concert called "Givin 'Em What They Love" on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 11:30 PM at 54 Below before heading to Vancouver to film CW's "Legends of Tomorrow."
- The lineup has been announced for the sixth and final free concert in 106.7 LITE FM’s Broadway in Bryant Park series, which will be held Aug. 13 on the Bryant Park Stage.
It’s Only a Play (PLAYS)
- Men are from Mars–Women are from Venus LIVE!, a play adapted from John Gray's 1992 bestselling self-help book about the differences between the genders, will land Off-Broadway Oct. 22, with an official opening planned for Nov. 7 at New World Stages on 51st Street in Manhattan.
We Open in Venice, We Next Play Verona (TOURS)
- supporting cast for the national tour of Beautiful — The Carole King Musical, which launches Sept. 15 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island. Also announced: the first year of stops on the tour.
They Mean Chicago, Illinois (CHICAGO NEWS)
- United Flight 232, a drama that relives the harrowing last 44 minutes before the crash of a real-life airliner, will get its world premiere next spring at The House Theatre of Chicago.
Stop! Wait! What?! (EVERYTHING ELSE)
- The 27th Annual Festival of New Musicals, which will take place Oct. 15 and 16 at New World Stages in New York, has announced the lineup for two additional special programs: a Songwriters Showcase and a Songwriter's Cabaret.
- The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced international programming for its 2015-16 season. The season will feature six works of theatre, music, and dance from the U.S. and abroad.
- Downtown Manhattan's La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club has announced the lineup for its 54th season. Highlights include Medea, performed by a mix of professional actors and a chorus of diversely abled actors, as well as Mabou Mines performing in the last work created for the company by its late founder.
- Kaufman Music Center, a music education and performance school, announced its 2015-16 theatre programs at New York's Merkin Concert Hall Aug. 11.
- Birdland Jazz Club, located on 44th Street at the western edge of the Times Square theatre district, has announced that it will add a 100-seat theatre space on the club's lower level.
